I grew up outside of Philadelphia in Bucks County. I come from a blended family of eight, including two sisters and four brothers. In high school I was involved in various community and service groups. I continued my involvement with service and ministry at Messiah University. I was involved with campus ministry and small groups. I graduated in 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries with a concentration in congregational ministry. I moved to Newville in 2017 to begin my role as lead pastor of Diller Mennonite Church.
During my time at Messiah University, I was involved in a myriad of leadership opportunities. I served as an executive member and treasurer of the Outdoors Club, and as a leader of a bible study group in student ministries. I would later become a member of the Student Chaplain team and serve as director of small group ministries on campus. As a chaplain, I was also involved in planning bi-weekly chapel services and other events for the students on campus at Messiah. All this to say I love working with people to build a better community! More recently, I have served as lead pastor of Diller Mennonite Church. In my role as lead pastor, I have been able to work and connect with people in exciting and challenging ways. I have partnered with other churches and organizations to serve and benefit the community of Newville.
The Launch Pad’s mission connects deeply with my heart, as I was adopted at the age of 7. Adoption runs in my family as both of my parents were adopted as well! Although, I was adopted and grew up in a supportive home, I recognize that, in many ways, my story is the exception and not the rule. I am excited to partner with the Launch Pad as they seek to provide a place for young men to call “home”. Furthermore, I feel that no one should feel that they do not have a family. In ministry, I believe we are all part of one big family. In fact, “family” has been our focus at Diller for the past two years! Family is more than just who you are related to by blood, but much bigger than where you come from; it is who you surround yourself with that makes you feel safe and at home. I am excited to work with clients to not only build a family here at the Launch Pad, but to equip and launch them into adulthood where they can begin to build “families” of their own!
If you have ever been in Newville, you have probably gone to Saylor’s Market! I have worked at Saylor's as a part-time cashier for three years. You might also know me from my position at Diller Church as I have been involved with various community initiatives and events. I also serve on the Newville Parks and Recreation committee and volunteer with Neighbors in Christ, an organization that provides assistance for families and individuals in financial crisis.
